Huawei ascend p2

Huawei is know for making the lowest of the low end Android phones, but just recently they started to make devices that just might fit the top of the market. Well, this trend is continuing with the new ascend p2.
This will be the works first phone with a 4.5 inch 1080p display. That’s the highest PPI in any Phone ever.
The phone will also have a 13mp camera sensor. Of u thought the display was impressive the the phones footprint will just blow you away. The ascend p2 will be just 6.45mm thin. (Thinner than iPhone 5) The device will also carry Huawei’s quad core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz.
There is no information on the release date, but keep your eyes peeked for this device because knowing Huawei it will be quite cheap.
Don’t forget top charge that phone… Or laptop… Or tablet… Heck even your phablet.

Microsoft surface pro

Hey sorry for the loss of blogging for the past few days. I’ve been a bit busy with Colorado all state jazz band. Which by the way, was way worth it.
So any ways
Just a few days ago the official specs and release date for the Microsoft surface pro were released by Microsoft.
The device will have an Intel core i5 or core i7 processor (core i7 costs more) and either 64 or 128 GB of internal storage. The device will unfortunately not be bundled with the new touch keyboard, but will come with a resistive stylus pen with Palm rejection technology that attaches to the charging port magnetically. For any one who really uses their tablets you might want to look else where cause this device will carry half the battery of the surface rt.

Along with the surface pro there will be a 64 GB version of the surface rt, a new Microsoft wedge touch mouse optimized for surface tablets, and some dubbed up versions of the touch key pad.

The surface pro will start at $1029 with out touch keypad and you can add a keypad for just $120.

Keep checking for more news and don’t forget to charge those phones… Or laptop… Or tablet… Heck even a phablet

Cyanogen mod 10.1 M-Series builds

Being that this an android blog, hence the name androidinating tech, i will also be posting about some android development.

recently official builds of cm 10.1 have been released for some devices, but these are not nightlies, they are m series builds. An m series build is basically nightlies taken to the next level. They have much less bugs and have less releases so you aren’t constantly updating and flashing roms to your device.

These are currently available for the following devices:

samsung captivate

samsung galaxy nexus s (+4g)

samsung galaxy s3 (US modesl)

samsung galaxy s

asus nexus 7

Samsung Galaxy nexus

LG nexus 4

Samsung Nexus 10

ODroid

Samsung p3100, p3110

samsung p5100, p5110

you can find these builds on the xda forums

Until next time

Huawei Ascend G615

Huawei is known for bringing android devices to the US that are entry level devices and bringing their “top notch” devices to the asia markets. Now they are making an effort at changing up the game with bring mid to top tier devices to europe and the US. We kind of got a glimpse of this at CES with the with the huawei  ascend do and the ascend mate.

Just yesterday some specs were released for yet another huawei device that I’m sure you haven’t heard of, the ascend g615.
This device will sport a 4.5 inch 1820 x 720p hd ips display. With this device huawei will be testing out its new quad core hisilicon k3v2 chip coming in at 1.4 ghz, unlike the ascend d2′s 1.5 ghz quad core mediatek cpu. It will come equipped with 1 gb of ram and 8gb of internal storage expandable up to 32gb of storage. The device will come with the now standard 8 mp rear camera with no front facing, and unfortunately it will come with android 4.0 ice cream sandwich out of the box but will soon receive a jelly bean update. Overall this phone seems to be a pretty decent device, but for the time being it doesn’t quite fit the high end range of android devices since ice cream sandwich is becoming more of a requirement for android devices.

Lg optimus G pro

So on this tech blog I will also be sharing with my audience some news on tech as well as reviews.
To start out here’s a phone I’m sure you are all familiar with, the lg optimus G… pro.
image

This phone started as a rumor just a few days ago but now its the real deal. Spotted today on a japanese carrier, NTT DoCoMo, the lg optimus G pro was officially confirmed. This phone will sport the same quad-core qualcomm snap dragon s4 pro as before, but with 1.7 ghz and a 1080p resolution. Now 1080p has been a new trend in phones made obvious by the vast majority of phones at CES this year. The screen will also be a bit larger coming in at 5 inches from the previous 4.7 inch 1280 x 768 is+ display. Now with all the power needed to power that big display the phone will obviously use a larger battery. It will come with a built in 3000 mAh lithium polymer battery, a significant upgrade from the previous 2100 mAh lithium polymer. This phone will have the same 2gb of ram and instead of the 16 gb of internal storage it will come with 32gb and yes, it is expandable up to 64 gb. This phone will come with jellybean 4.1 out of the box(sorry no 4.2) but it will receive an upgrade to jelly bean 4.2 soon after launch. This device will support lte so you can look forward to this coming to the us(most likely at&t because that’s where the original optimus g is). If your hooked on that lg android skin then this is definitely the phone for you. But if you wait a bit longer… you might just get lucky with a phone sporting a snap dragon 400 or even 800 processor…

Remember to charge that phone… or tablet… or laptop…heck even a phablet

What’s my tech setup

Hey all. I was just going through my setting up of this blog when I thought to myself “what a better way to start a tech blog than to share my settup”.so here it goes. For the past few months I’ve been using a mac book with a 2 ghz intel duo dual core chip with nvidia before graphics, a sony xperia ion(rooted but still running stock timescape ui) and a nook color. But just yesterday I switched to the nook hd+. So yeah, I don’t have the best setup but it does the job. Keep tuned in as I will be writing individual reviews on each device I use and I’ll also be filling you guys in on what happened at CES(consumer electronics show) and much much more.
